Morten Kjems Hytten Juhl
Producer
Morten joined SAM’s team of producers in 2016 and has since then produced a number of series. This includes seasons I and II of the 8-episode thriller series Below the Surface (Gidseltagningen, da) produced for Discovery Network’s Kanal 5 in association with STUDIOCANAL and ZDF neo and distributed in more than 90 countries and Pros & Cons (Friheden, da) produced for Viaplay in association with STUDIOCANAL.
Morten has recently embarked on yet another drama series project, this time he is producing Søren Sveistrup’s The Chestnut Man (Kastanjemanden, da) for Netflix.
In 2017 Morten won a Swedish Guldbagge Award for Best Film with the Swedish-Danish feature The Giant directed by Johannes Nyholm. Other previous titles include Mads Matthiesen’s Teddy Bear (Best Director, Sundance 2012), Fenar Ahmad’s Flow (London Film Festival, 2014) and the drama series Lulu & Leon, created for TV3 (2009).
Morten holds a master’s degree in Film Studies and studied as a producer at the independent Danish film school SUPER16.
